Parent/Guardian NEWSLETTER
Good afternoon! We have a busy week at CSHS! First, I want to let remind each of you that progress reports will be available in parent portal tomorrow morning. If you have questions regarding grades do not hesitate to contact the teachers. Also, I would like to congratulate our Band on winning their Area competition and advancing to the State Marching competition. Additionally, I want to congratulate Mariah Moody on a fantastic Cross Country season. She ran at the State Cross Country Meet on Friday morning, and represented China Spring at a very high level. Finally, good luck to our volleyball team as they play their first playoff game on Tuesday, November 5th.
Attendance Information: If your student has been out sick, or they will miss for another reason please contact Ms. Ema Moes,CSHS Attendance Clerk. Students can have up to four parent notes per semester. One absence = one parent note. I need your help with attendance as our campus attendance for this school year is well below where it has been historically.
Dr. Notes: As we get further into our year, I need parents and guardians help in ensuring that our students turn in Dr. notes when they have Dr. appointments. If a student goes to an appointment and comes back the same day, or their appointment is at the end of a day, they can supply a Dr.’s note so the absence is excused. Dr. notes can be emailed to Ms. Moes or faxed to 254-836-1418.
Food Delivery Services: I want to remind everyone that China Spring High School will not accept any deliveries from food delivery services. The district updated the policy at the beginning of the year, and this change is meant to keep everyone safe at the school. Food can only be dropped off by a parent or guardian. All deliveries will be sent back with the driver or thrown away.

The fall is a popular time for college recruiters to visit campuses. If you'd like to see what institutions will be visiting CSHS this month please visit the following link: COLLEGE VISITS AT CSHS *This is fluid and will be added to regularly*
The counseling team will begin their one-on-one meetings with students to select their courses for the 2025-2026 school year. These selections help us plan for necessary staffing, as well as have an opportunity to meet with all students sooner. The schedule is as follows:
November 18th- November 21st: Current 11th graders
December 2nd-December 5th: Current 10th graders
December 9th-December 12th: Current 9th graders
