Parent/Guardian NEWSLETTER
Good afternoon! I hope that all of you had a great weekend. Tomorrow, January 13th, Dual Credit starts for students. There is an updated room list further down in the email. Additionally, last week report cards were made available on parent portal. If you have questions regarding grades do not hesitate to contact your student(s)' teachers. I want to wish the Cheerleaders good luck as they compete in their UIL competition on Friday, January 17th, in Ft. Worth. Finally, Monday, January 20th, is a staff and student holiday.
Attendance Information: If your student has been out sick, or they will miss for another reason please contact Ms. Ema Moes,CSHS Attendance Clerk. Students can have up to four parent notes per semester. One absence = one parent note. I need your help with attendance as our campus attendance for this school year is well below where it has been historically.
Dr. Notes: As we get further into our year, I need parents and guardians help in ensuring that our students turn in Dr. notes when they have Dr. appointments. If a student goes to an appointment and comes back the same day, or their appointment is at the end of a day, they can supply a Dr.’s note so the absence is excused. Dr. notes can be emailed to Ms. Moes or faxed to 254-836-1418.

Spring Dual Credit: Dual Credit for CSHS will begins tomorrow. Mrs. Harvey sent an email to all dual credit parents and students last week, and here is an updated link to classrooms Updated Dual Credit Room Assignments. If you have questions regarding dual credit do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Meghan Harvey.
ACT School Day Test: CSHS will offer the ACT test to all juniors on March 25, 2025. The link to sign-up is: CSHS 2026 Junior ACT School Day Test. The cost is $40 and students can pay by cash or check in the counseling center. If you have questions contact Mrs. Vanessa Hopkins.
