Parent/Guardian NEWSLETTER
Good afternoon! I hope everyone is looking forward to the upcoming week at CSHS. First, our Golf teams won their District Meet and have advanced to the Regional Meet Second, our Track teams had their District Meet and won the District Champions, again we have several athletes that advanced to the Area Meet this week. Third, our One Act Play will compete Tuesday, April 8th, in their Area competition at Bastrop High School. Fourth, this week is the third week of the last grading period, and progress reports will be available through Parent Portal on Monday, April 14thds. If you have any questions regarding grades, do not hesitate to contact the teachers. Finally, on Tuesday, April 8th, our freshmen class will take their English I End of Course exam and on Thursday, April 10th, our sophomore class will take the English II End of Course exam. Bells will be off throughout testing.
Attendance Information: If your student has been out sick, or they will miss for another reason please contact Ms. Ema Moes,CSHS Attendance Clerk. Students can have up to four parent notes per semester. One absence = one parent note.
Dr. Notes: As we get further into our year, I need parents and guardians help in ensuring that our students turn in Dr. notes when they have Dr. appointments. If a student goes to an appointment and comes back the same day, or their appointment is at the end of a day, they can supply a Dr.’s note so the absence is excused. Dr. notes can be emailed to Ms. Moes or faxed to 254-836-1418.
Class Dues: A student must be current on their class dues in order to attend the Junior-Senior Prom. Class fees are $25 9th – 11th grade, and they are $35 for 12th Grade. Class dues will be taken during lunches in the cafeteria beginning April 7th.
2025 CSHS Junior-Senior Prom: The CSHS Junior-Senior Prom will be held on Saturday, May 3rd. The event will be held in the China Spring High School Main Gym, and the theme is Hollywoods. CSHS juniors and seniors are allowed to attend and their date. Prom tickets are $30 and can be purchased online through Hometown Ticketing. Prom Information is attached to this email.
9th-11th grade students: Course requests for the 2025-2026 school year are now in the student portal. Please review those with your to ensure their schedule accurately reflects the courses they want to take. If your student needs to request changes please have them email their school counselor with the request:
Senior Parents: The admissions department from MCC and TSTC will be at CSHS in April to help students submit mandatory documents: shot records, TSIA2 scores, transcripts, etc. Please ensure your student has listened to the announcements and filled out the google form so they can schedule a visit with the advisors.
There are visual reminders posted in all govt/econ courses and emails have been sent. If they do not complete the form they will not be pulled from their classes.

Class of 2025 Graduation: The Class of 2025 Graduation ceremony will be held at Baylor’s Ferrell Center on Friday, May 30th. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm. As we get closer I will share more information.
Class of 2025 Cap and Gown Orders: If your student has not ordered yet, and has questions they need to visit with Mrs. Guzman in the Counseling Center. If you have questions please email Mrs. Candice Guzman.
2025 End of Course (EOC) Test Dates: I want to share the dates for the five End of Course (EOC) exams that high school students are required to pass in order to graduate. If a student is unsuccessful on an EOC they will be required to attend summer school. Once those dates are set I will communicate them. If you have questions regarding the End of Course exams reach out to your student(s)’ counselor.
