Parent/Guardian NEWSLETTER

Good afternoon!  The CSHS Jr. – Sr. Prom was a huge success, with Beau Spell and Olivia Bolton being named Prom King and Queen.  I want to congratulate Janey Baker on placing 3rd overall in the 100m hurdles and 2nd in the300m hurdles at the State Track Meet.  Additionally, I want to wish good luck to the Boys' Golf team as they will tee off tomorrow in the State Tournament.  Furthermore, our Baseball and Softball teams have continued to win and are both in the second round of the playoff. I also want to congratulate the Girls' Golf team on a strong showing at the State Tournament as they placed 8th overall. This week we have AP exams starting on Monday and Wednesday. Thursday, May 8th, I will meet with the seniors to discuss how their final exams will go. Finally, I will provide the spring final exam schedule in next week’s newsletter.  Spring final exams, for 9th – 11th grade, will be May 28th – 30th.

Attendance Information:  If your student has been out sick, or they will miss for another reason please contact Ms. Ema Moes, CSHS Attendance Clerk.  Students can have up to four parent notes per semester.  One absence = one parent note.

Dr. Notes:  I need parents and guardians help in ensuring that our students turn in Dr. notes when they have Dr. appointments.  If a student goes to an appointment and comes back the same day, or their appointment is at the end of a day, they can supply a Dr.’s note so the absence is excused.  Dr. notes can be emailed to Ms. Moes or faxed to 254-836-1418.

Student Medications:  If your student(s) have medication in the nurse’s office, you will need to pick it up before the last day of school, May 30th.  Students are not allowed to take medication home themselves.  All medications left at CSHS will be thrown away.  If you have questions please contact Ashley Ellis at 254-1771 or email her Nurse Ellis.

Class of 2025 K-12 Reception:  If your student(s) have attended China Spring ISD since Kindergarten they are invited to a reception that will be held at China Spring Primary School on Thursday, May 15th. The event will begin at 4:30 pm, and students will have an opportunity to visit with their former teachers and Mrs. Coe. This should be a fun event. If you have questions contact Mrs. Gaye Lynn Rast.
