Week of Aug. 10-14
This week is a 5-day school week
This past week we held class meetings. We covered the following topics:
Cell Phone Law
Dress Code
Hallway/Bathroom Procedures
Final Exams and Exemption Updates for 9th-11th grade students.
Tardy Updates
Parking Passes for those students who drive to campus
10/10 Rule - Not leaving class in first 10 or last 10 minutes.

From The Counselors
Schedule changes are in full swing. Just because a student requested a schedule change, does not mean it will automatically be granted. Several factors go into making a schedule change decision.
Dual Credit Students
Dual Credit Classes begin on August 24th. Please make sure you are paid up before that day. Please reach out to your counselor if you have any questions regarding Dual Credit.
Fire Drill and Lockdown Drill
CSHS will have a fire drill and a lockdown drill on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Junior Class Herff Jones Class Ring Meeting
A representative from Herff Jones will be at the high school on Thursday, Aug. 13th, to present about class ring options. Students are NOT required to purchase a class ring. Information packets will be sent home with students so parents can know options.
Tardies at CSHS - Please not the following information regarding tardies
Tardies are cumulative and will reset at the semester
Students must be in class on time. We have increased the time that students have between classes from 4 minutes to 5 minutes.
Students who are tardy by MORE THAN 10 minutes to class will be counted absent.
The following consequences will be administered for cumulative tardies:
1-3 Cumulative Tardies = Warning & Parent Contact
4-5 Cumulative Tardies = 1 hour after school detention
6-8 Cumulative Tardies = Two 1-hour after school detention
9-10 Cumulative Tardies = Friday School & Parent Conference
11-14 Cumulative Tardies = ISS & Parent Conference
15+ Cumulative Tardies = Multiple days of ISS plus loss of privileges including but not limited to loss of extracurricular attendance activities, loss of parking privileges, etc.

CSHS Homecoming Dance will be Sept. 19th at CSHS Gym
